A car is more than the sum of its parts
A car matters. The lack of particular subject matter is by all means intentional. Because a car doesn't just matter in one or two aspects of one's life. It impacts almost everything a person can and will do. It's partially how someone gets to various locations. History, for example, has been shaped by mobility. History is the story of people being in the right place at the right time. And it's often been limited by the fact that it takes so long to get to various places on foot. Cars gave people the ability to move beyond the limits of a single town. Back in the day, people were usually fated to live their lives in the areas where they were born. Even going from state to state could take months of hard work. Whereas today a cross country trip over the US can be started and finished in a few days. Let alone the rather miniscule time needed to go between state borders. Of course the other side of that is style. How one gets to a location matters as well. And much of it comes down to car parts. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

At the same time though, the sum of those parts can be ruined by the wrong additions. For example, a Mercedes is a high quality car that requires high quality parts. With a proper supplier in mind one can keep his or her car looking great. And by looking great and operating well it gives people an amazing amount of freedom. Freedom to move through history in any way they desire.
